Right, so I am an adult - an 18 year old woman with a full time job; with rent to pay and finances to manage, training up for a long-term career in her Majesty's Armed Forces.
That doesn't change the fact that when my mother pokes her head around my bedroom door at midnight telling me to go to bed, it makes me want to stay up and prove some sort of point.
We shall ignore the fact that I am actually rather tired and was getting ready to log off anyway when my mother told me to go to bed. Now that she has ordered me to go to bed, I shall stay up late. *Feels somehow triumphant*I am currently...:  accomplished |
Hee. I’m 23 and still have such urges. I think defying parents is just an in-built part of human nature.
Not sure if it's worth winning this battle, sweetie. Best not to complain about it when you're tired tomorrow!
