OK, so when you become so reclusive that you shy away from even an online life, that's when you know you've got a problem.
I'm posting to get out of this stupid habit I've gotten into of reading peoples' LJ entries but not commenting. I read everyone on my flist, but for some reason I haven't commented. From now on I shall endeavour to do better.
Also I've realised that LJ is a pretty good place to vent.
I officially hate being an adult. All this working for a living, paying rent, paying taxes, being responsible... I mean, I've got the day off tomorrow, and instead of going out partying I'm planning on running errands, for goodness' sake. Going to the bank, doing a little washing...
We've also sold the house so I have to spend my time looking through all my childhood memories and deciding what to chuck out since I'll have no room for it in the Army (though is it weird that I think that being a professional soldier will actually be an easier job than as a waitress?) I also have to bully myself into getting fit: I've got a fitness test in less than a month and I am NOWHERE NEAR fit enough to pass. I just hate going out running - I'm crap at it, and get annoyed that I can't run far, so I don't do it, so I never get fit enough, so I get annoyed... it's a horrible cycle.
Vent over. How about a meme nicked from Fawsley?

I'm not really very fond of beer, in fact I haven't been drinking much at all recently, though when I do it's usually spirits and it usually ends in me falling down a lot.
3. c is for career right now:
Mild-mannered waitress by day, kick-ass soldier by night. I'm like a superhero!
4. d is for your dog's name:
Don't have the time for one. I have a cat, Suzie, instead.
5. e is for essential item you use everyday:
Err... Loo roll? I don't really use make up etc.
6. f is for favorite tv show at the moment:
Well, the Stargate Seasons have finished, but I've gotten way too into JAG at the moment. And CSI. And NCIS. Which are kind of all the same show except with different characters.
7. g is for favorite game:
The Sims 2. Seriously, it's ruined my life. I'm on like generation 6 of a family.
8. h is for home town:
Locks Heath, though it's really more of a village. It's mid-way between Southampton and Portsmouth if you want towns.
9. i is for instruments you play:
The recorder, woo. I haven't played for years, though. In an attempt to broaden my horizons I plan to learn either the guitar, the piano, or both.
10. j is for favorite juice:
*Drags mind from the gutter* Um, orange squash. I'm not really a fan of juices.
11. k is for whose butt you'd like to kick:
So, so many people. Starting with my own.
12. l is for last place you ate:
In the same chair that I am sitting in now.
13. m is for marriage:
Not at the moment.

Sue the manager; Michael, Emma and Laura my fellow Waiter/Waitresses; the chefs; the lovely people I was serving (£21 made in tips in only 2 hours!)

None yet, though if I don't get fit enough by June that will be my huge regret.

Sleepy. I'm always sleepy lately, damnit, no matter how much sleep I get.

0900, though I stayed in bed reading until 1030. I'm up to the 24th Discworld book, and I only started reading them in January. Maybe I should tear myself away from the books and get a life?
21. u is for underwear:
*Checks* Grey knickers and a white-turned-grey-with-age bra.
22. v is for vegetable you love:
Ick, veggies. Potatoes are practically the only exception, and I love those with a passion.
23. w is for worst habit:
I suck my finger and twirl my hair. At the age of 18.
24. x is for x-rays you've had:
Shite loads. Arms (both), leg, foot, several stomach ones with aid of a barium meal, all on different occasions for different reasons.
25. y is for yummy food you ate today:
Chicken strips, curly fries and baked beans. Mmm.

I'm so glad that you've decided to pop your head up above the battlements once more, and to know that you've been there all along even if not talking to us! It always warms me cockles to see a post or a comment from you, so now you've started don't you dare give up again.
