urn:lj:livejournal.com:atom1:smalldiver Behold, the empty space! smalldiver 2038-01-19T03:14:07Z urn:lj:livejournal.com:atom1:smalldiver:29068 2038-01-19T03:14:07Z 2038-01-19T03:14:07Z I am now officially <i>Private</i> Smalldiver. *Boogies*<br /><br />I went to Grantham yesterday and did my medical and did some shooting practice on the electronic firing range - it's much better because you're actually firing at moving people on the screen instead of stationary targets (I wasn't very good though - 39 shots fired from me and I only hit 4 people!)<br /><br />There was a lot of waiting around - at one point I even sat and watched the women's Wimbledon tennis final - but it was still amazing fun. I met some great people and even swapped numbers with a few.<br /><br />Then I swore in, got to put my hand on a bible and swear loyalty to Queen and Country etc etc, got a shiny certificate, and voila! I'm in the Royal Logistics Corps (Volunteers).
